About The Position

SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group, an international consulting and engineering group, a global leader in the design of transport infrastructure. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose main objective is to offer transport solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies for the construction of a new railway line, increasing the capacity of existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway. The Commercial Specialist supports the commercial and operational needs of the project, with a particular focus on subcontracting activities as well as assisting the entire project team with non-technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Project Management, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in a role related to commercial, contractual support, subcontracting, or project coordination.
• Experience in managing or coordinating subcontracting needs within projects.
• Good understanding of commercial support activities in a project-oriented environment.
• Ability to work on a variety of non-technical issues in support of multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, in both French and English.
• Strong active listening skills in a dynamic internal client service environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and good judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Autonomy and ability to effectively manage priorities.
• Multidisciplinary and open-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage project needs related to subcontracting, including coordination and monitoring of required commercial support activities.
• Support project teams in carrying out daily commercial and administrative tasks.
• Assist the entire project team on non-technical issues and help facilitate internal coordination between different functions.
• Contribute to the effective management of commercial issues in a dynamic and rapidly evolving project environment.
• Act as a reliable internal support point for stakeholders needing guidance on non-technical project topics.
