About The Position

The Software Integration Specialist is responsible for the installation, integration, and testing of software for power plant simulator projects. This role involves contributing to the resolution of complex problems during various phases of development, integration, and testing. The specialist will also be responsible for the configuration, installation, and software support of all test sites, both internal and client-based. Additionally, they will develop documentation related to software installation and maintenance, and occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Software).
• Proficiency in MS Office (including Access), VBScript, SQL, Visual Studio, C++, Fortran, Groovy.
• Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualization engines (Hyper-V).
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects, with tasks requiring judgment and initiative.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Complex problem-solving skills and ability to improve systems.
• Eligible for Controlled Goods Program registration.
• Eligible for Canadian government reliability status and Level II / NATO Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to meet the requirements of US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the installation, integration, and testing of software within power plant simulator projects.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and challenging problems arising during the different phases of development, integration, and testing of the power plant simulator.
• Responsible for the configuration, installation, and software support of all test sites, whether internal or at client locations.
• Develop documentation related to software installation and maintenance.
• Occasional travel.
