About The Position

Cherry Bekaert, a Great Place to Work certified firm recognized for its leadership in AI governance and data strategy, is seeking a Partner to serve as its next South Florida/Miami Market Leader. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for building, a growth mindset, and a proven ability to unite teams around ambitious growth goals. The firm's strategy focuses on being digitally driven, industry-aligned, and centered on the middle market. The South Florida Market Leader will collaborate with Firm leaders, service line, and industry partners to drive the growth strategy for the region, serving a diverse client base including middle market businesses, entrepreneurs, privately owned companies, and publicly traded corporations. This highly visible position requires exceptional business development experience, strong client relationship skills, and an existing network within the South Florida/Miami market. The role is based in South Florida (Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale) with limited travel expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Masters preferred.
  • Must be CPA certified and have an active CPA license.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with a large local, regional or national public accounting firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving growth and building an office, practice, industry group, service line or similar.
  • Ability to drive success through the influencing of Partners.
  • Strong existing network in South Florida/Miami is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.

  • Previous service line, regional, market, or industry leadership experience is required.
  • Experience with a variety of middle market commercial industries.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients.
  • Serve as the face of the Firm to the local market team and the local marketplace.
  • Execute the Firm and Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the South Florida/Miami practice, as well as support other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.
  • Lead Market execution of Firm strategy and goals through reinforcement of Firm Vision Model and champion of Firm’s shared values.
  • Ensure proper communication flow to the market related to Firm initiatives.
  • Develop professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.
  • Drive consistency, collaboration and communication among Service Line, Market Leaders, Shared Service Leaders, Advisory and Industry Leaders as well as with other stakeholders.
