About The Position

At the South End Market, the role emphasizes creativity, culinary excellence, and passion. The professional Cook will apply culinary techniques and contribute to an exceptional guest experience. The position requires thriving in a fast-paced environment and possessing a solid knowledge of food products to create enjoyable moments for guests.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to work a Part-Time schedule; Tuesday 4pm-12:45am, Friday and Saturdays, 7pm-3:45am; 20-30hrs per week to include weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of knives and knife skills, standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, beverage machines, Cryovac machine and smallwares.

Nice To Haves

1+ Years of Prior Experience as a Cook in a similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Skillfully apply culinary techniques and maintain solid knowledge of food products.
Safely use kitchen equipment and restock supplies and food items as needed.
Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail in plate presentation.
Assist kitchen leadership and staff in executing service.
Prepare base sauces, stocks, and soups as required.
Collaborate with the team to meet guest needs and inquiries.
