About The Position

The Sous Chef at La La Noodle within Park MGM helps maintain exceptional culinary standards and creates a welcoming, energetic kitchen environment focused on delivering memorable guest experiences. The role supports the Executive Chef with kitchen operations, staff training, purchasing and inventory, scheduling, and goals related to profitability, product quality, and people.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of prior relevant experience as a supervisor.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Mandarin and/or Cantonese fluency; basic English is acceptable.
• Prior relevant experience in a high-volume Chinese restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Train Master Cooks, Cooks, Pantry Workers, and Helpers on their job responsibilities.
• Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in the designated area.
• Label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintain knowledge of and prepare base sauces, stocks, and soups.
• Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct irregularities.
• Communicate with management and service staff to address issues or needs raised by guests and employees.
• Assist the Executive Chef with controlling purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists, and inventory of kitchen items.
• Prepare and administer the kitchen schedule.
• Assist the Executive Chef in establishing goals and objectives focused on profit, product, and people.
