About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience with cooking healthy and nutritious food in bulk quantities
  • Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control
  • Able to obtain a National Police Check

Nice To Haves

  • Aged care experience preferred
  • Good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals

Responsibilities

  • Assist and oversee food production and menu-based catering for 102 residents in this modern aged care facility.
  • Ensuring all OH&S compliance is achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures.
  • Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum.
  • Assist with rostering, ordering, stock control and other administrative duties related to a senior chef position.
