About The Position

The Sous Chef is an essential member of the Food & Beverage leadership team which is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests and employees. We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position. The Sous Chef is responsible for partnering with the Executive Chef, in creating an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best and advance. Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on an as-needed basis, in order to promote teamwork. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

ServSafe Certification.
Proficient knife skills.
ServSafe allergen training.
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
Ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools.
Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Second language preferred but not required.
Strong leadership, training, motivation, and communication skills.
College degree preferably specializing in culinary arts, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Accepting assignments on an as-needed basis, in order to promote teamwork.
Collaborating with Hotel Executive Chef and Adorn Executive Chef to align with the broader vision of the hotel as well as the restaurant.
