About The Position

Nami Nori is looking for an energetic and experienced Sous Chef to join our team! The ideal candidate is ambitious and motivated to provide quality food and service and comfortable acting in a leadership position. Nami Nori is the first to specialize in open-style sushi hand rolls in New York City. Our mission is to create a world-wide devoted fan following for temaki through “omotenashi”, the Japanese art of gracious hospitality. We are committed to creating great experiences for both guests and employees alike.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations.
  • Oversees food production.
  • Coaches and trains kitchen staff.
  • Manages ordering and inventory.
  • Maintains department of health standards and compliance with all regulations.

Benefits
