About The Position

Ford’s Colony Country Club is seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As the Sous Chef, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring every plate meets high standards for quality, presentation, and consistency. You will act as a bridge between the kitchen and wait staff, keeping the team coordinated, motivated, and inspired.

Requirements

  • Culinary school graduate preferred, with 5–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in regional and national culinary trends, food preparation techniques, and presentation styles.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellence, creativity, and a positive outlook.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills a plus

  • Train and develop kitchen staff, fostering skill, consistency, and passion.
  • Maintain impeccable quality, portion control, and plating standards.
  • Prepare a variety of creative cuisine with skill and precision.
  • Collaborate with wait staff to exceed guest expectations.
  • Keep the kitchen organized, safe, and sanitary, adhering to all regulations.
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning, hiring, scheduling, and workflow management.
  • Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate them to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Perform hands-on cooking and any task in the kitchen as needed.
