About The Position

Hotel Celare is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to partner with the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional food and memorable guest experiences. The role focuses on food preparation and presentation, kitchen standards, team development, food safety, and guest satisfaction. The Sous Chef may work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Requirements

At least three years of line cook experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid food safety or food handler certification.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read recipes, banquet event orders (BEOs), and operating procedures.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience preferred.
Marriott experience is a plus.
Culinary training preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee food preparation, production, and presentation according to established standards.
Train, supervise, and support kitchen staff; assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
Address guest concerns professionally and support guest satisfaction.
Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
