Sourcing Team Lead

ReflectionSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Reflection's mission is to build open superintelligence and make it accessible to all. We’re developing open weight models for individuals, agents, enterprises, and even nation states. Our team of AI researchers and company builders come from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Brain, Meta, Character.AI, Anthropic and beyond. We're looking for a Sourcing Team Lead to own and elevate how Reflection finds talent. You'll set the strategy across all active searches, own hands-on sourcing for our hardest roles, and raise the bar on how the team sources and communicates. This is a high-ownership role on a small, fast-moving recruiting team — you'll have real influence over pipeline quality and the systems that drive it. Based in New York City or San Francisco.

Requirements

  • Several years of sourcing or full-cycle recruiting experience, including hard-to-fill or senior roles
  • A track record of building pipelines from scratch — strong search technique and creative, high-converting outreach
  • Experience guiding or coaching other sourcers or recruiters, formally or informally
  • Fluency with sourcing tools, ATS/CRM platforms, and a comfort working from data and metrics
  • Clear communication and strong organization — you keep work coordinated and people aligned without relying on formal authority
  • Quality-first instinct for candidate experience and employer brand

Nice To Haves

  • experience sourcing in AI
  • building a sourcing function in a high-growth environment
  • driving diverse-pipeline strategies

Responsibilities

  • Design sourcing strategy across searches — channels, search technique, target companies, and talent pools — with a tiered approach so effort matches priority
  • Own swim lanes across the team, assigning who sources and who runs outreach on each search so no candidate is double-touched and nothing slips
  • Maintain outreach templates and sequences, approve new messaging, and spot-check live outreach for quality and personalization
  • Make prioritization trade-offs visible — decide which searches get capacity, in what order, and at what intensity
  • Define and report on pipeline metrics — volume, response rates, qualified rate, speed to pipeline, channel effectiveness — and use them to coach
  • Own hands-on sourcing for the hardest, most senior searches, modeling the standard for the team
  • Develop the team's craft: search technique, messaging, market research, and tooling; act as a calibrated interviewer for new sourcer hires

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Fully paid parental leave for all new parents, including adoptive and surrogate journeys.
  • Financial support for family planning.
  • paid time off when you need it
  • relocation support
  • lunch and dinner are provided daily.
  • regular off-sites and team celebrations.
