About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Distributed IT (D-IT) division is currently seeking a Sourcing & Supplier Quality Manager to join our team. This role will be based remotely with anticipated up to 25% travel. The Soucing & Supplier Quality Manager will lead global sourcing strategy and supplier management for Eaton’s Distributed IT (D-IT) business, supporting a design-led, supplier-partnered operating model. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across key commodities, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and alignment with rapid business growth. Serves as a critical partner to Engineering, Operations, and Finance to support new product introductions (NPI), optimize total cost, and enable scalable, high-performance supply chain solutions across a global supplier network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain

  • Experience managing suppliers and driving sourcing strategies across global regions, with particular expertise in APAC supplier networks and market dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Experience in data center, electrical, or industrial technology sectors

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned with business growth, product roadmaps, and regional requirements while building a scalable, innovative supplier network.
  • Lead supplier relationship and performance management through KPI-driven scorecards, business reviews, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Drive cost optimization and productivity through strategic negotiations, should-cost analysis, design-to-cost initiatives, and cross-functional savings programs.
  • Partner with Engineering on new product introductions (NPI), ensuring supplier readiness, qualification, and balanced sourcing decisions across cost, quality, and speed-to-market.
  • Establish supplier quality strategies, mitigate risks, resolve quality issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and enterprise quality standards.
  • Manage supply continuity and risk by addressing capacity constraints, geopolitical risks, supplier financial health, and single-source dependencies through contingency and dual-sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with business objectives, inventory management, manufacturability, and working capital goals.
  • Implement sourcing processes, governance, analytics, and best practices to improve decision-making, standardize operations globally, and ensure policy compliance.
