The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to procure goods and services at the best possible value, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery. This role involves managing supplier relationships and optimizing the supply chain to meet company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities or services, aligning with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to potential suppliers.
  • Analyze supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements for Jabil.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, conducting regular business reviews, and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance) to understand material and service requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing activities.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or delivery.
  • Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical factors, material shortages, and supplier financial stability.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier information, contracts, and purchasing data.
