About The Position

This is a long-term contract position with the possibility of extension for a Sourcing Specialist, Diagnostics Direct Procurement. The role is based out of Oro Valley/Marana, AZ, and is an onsite position requiring at least 3 days per week at the Oro Valley and Marana campuses. The primary location is Tucson, AZ. The role is responsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities, ensuring alignment with Category Management strategies. The focus areas include supplier management, escalations, master data management, cost savings, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelors’ Degree
3+ years of procurement experience
Experience in basic contracting
Experience with business enterprise systems
Experience with spot buying
Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs
Understands and frequently uses quantitative and / or qualitative data to drive decisions
Identifies risks to support statements or hypotheses
Works independently to develop and implement a negotiation plan / strategy
Good communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind
Tailors messages and communications appropriately with limited supervision to ensure understanding
Contributes to meetings and team presentations/briefings and asks appropriate questions to gather information
Basic level of proficiency in business enterprise tools
Understanding of the end-to-end procurement process
