About The Position
The McKenny Group is leading a confidential search for a Sourcing Specialist / Buyer on behalf of a large automotive manufacturing organization. This is a high-priority opportunity for a sourcing and procurement professional who excels in a manufacturing environment and brings strong expertise in supplier management, purchasing, negotiation, and cross-functional support. The selected individual will play an important role in supporting sourcing performance, supplier effectiveness, purchasing execution, and overall supply chain reliability. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to help ensure material continuity, cost discipline, and operational support.
Requirements
- Five (5) years experience
- Strong sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or buyer experience in manufacturing
- Experience with supplier management, cost analysis, and negotiation
- Ability to work effectively across operations, supply chain, and leadership teams
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- ERP or MRP experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Support sourcing, procurement, and purchasing activities
- Manage supplier relationships and track vendor performance
- Lead or assist with RFQs, pricing review, and supplier negotiations
- Partner with operations and supply chain to support business needs
- Help improve sourcing efficiency, cost control, and supplier responsiveness
- Support reporting, planning, and process improvement initiatives
