About The Position

Gadge USA was established in 1993. Our company is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories, combined with a scalable service model, which delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers. We are currently recruiting a Sourcing Project Manager, reporting to our Associate Director, Sourcing. In this role, you will plan and execute strategies that will deliver cost, quality, and service improvements for our Company and Customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, and work with Sales to develop new packaging offerings and solutions for our customers; promoting the growth of product categories we offer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting / Finance, or Supply Chain and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical & excel skills and the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities, with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to drive towards meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, can collaborate with internally and externally and with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical aptitude for evaluation of products and services.
  • Advanced technical skills (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to apply Excel formulas to conduct price analysis.
  • Experience using ERP (Sage100) and CRM (Salesforce) or equivalent systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Packaging development and production experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with purchase order, bill-of-lading and inventory.
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams, managing direct reports.
  • Experience within a customer service environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of product development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage pricing projects for existing, new and prospective customers to support department results and partner with Sales, Projects, and Accounts teams to drive favorable outcomes and deliverables.
  • Evaluate and recommend project and product specifications, designs, and pricing elements to build profitable customer solutions for high complexity projects.
  • Make recommendations for sourcing strategies domestically and internationally to drive cost-down alternatives and maximize our abilities to deliver high-quality products.
  • Proactively identify and communicate opportunities, risks, challenges and recommended solutions within immediate team and stakeholders.
  • Manage price changes by the packaging price change procedure, volume commitments, vendor selection decisions, and contractual obligations.
  • Research vendor capabilities and requirements; conduct negotiations, and onboard vendors or suppliers with favorable terms.
  • Maintain accurate project statuses leveraging company’s project management tool in Salesforce and clearly document all customer requirements and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement strategies to improve department KPIs and business analytics and contribute towards the improvement of company KPI’s.
  • Create, execute, and consistently improve standard operating procedures and training programs to drive progress in the department.
  • Provide guidance and direction to other team members, including Specialists and Senior Specialists, and conduct training as needed.
