About The Position

AIG is seeking a Sourcing Category Manager, Professional Services to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and deliver measurable value across professional services and other indirect spend categories. The role calls for strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, and indirect procurement expertise, along with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills and an understanding of market dynamics.

The position requires working in AIG’s Atlanta office four days per week. Requirements

• At least 5 years of strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement experience, including ownership of indirect spend categories in a complex corporate environment.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing Professional Services categories, including consulting, contingent workforce, managed services, and other indirect services.
• Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that deliver cost savings, supplier innovation, risk mitigation, and business value.
• Experience leading competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs) and managing supplier evaluation and selection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with spend analysis, market intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, industry trends, and strategic sourcing best practices across indirect procurement categories.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with sourcing, procurement, contract lifecycle management, and spend analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies to optimize cost, quality, service levels, and business value.
• Manage assigned indirect spend categories and identify opportunities for savings, supplier consolidation, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
• Analyze markets to identify trends, opportunities, innovation, and risks in assigned categories.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, from strategy development through supplier selection and contract execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with organizational objectives.
• Negotiate, execute, and manage supplier contracts in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Source and negotiate complex Professional Services agreements, including consulting, contingent labor, managed services, and other knowledge-based services.
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, supplier performance, and procurement effectiveness.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance and KPIs to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate supply, commercial, operational, and financial risks in assigned categories.
