About The Position

Pan-Oston Company is an industry leader in providing metal and wood fixtures to some of retail's largest members and is a Houchens Industries Employee-Owned Company. The Sourcing Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the sourcing team to ensure timely communication with suppliers, accurate data management, and efficient execution of day-to-day sourcing activities. This role plays a key part in supporting supplier coordination, quote tracking, and internal communication as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

  • Send RFQs (requests for quote) to suppliers and follow up on outstanding responses
  • Communicate with vendors on order status, lead times, and basic inquiries
  • Route supplier questions to the appropriate internal team
  • Enter and maintain supplier quotes in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Wisys)
  • Track quote status and ensure timely updates
  • Maintain organized digital records of supplier communications and pricing
  • Support supplier onboarding by collecting required documentation
  • Prepare basic comparison sheets for sourcing team review
  • Assist with updating approved vendor lists and sourcing databases
  • Work with engineering, operations, and customer service to gather required sourcing information
  • Ensure all necessary details are included before RFQs are issued
  • Maintain simple trackers for open quotes, supplier responses, and lead times
  • Flag delays, missing information, or risks to the sourcing lead
  • Follow established sourcing workflows and templates
  • Identify opportunities to improve organization and response times
  • Perform additional administrative or support tasks as assigned
