About The Position

The Sourcing Coordinator supports day-to-day purchasing and sourcing activities by processing purchase orders, monitoring inventory needs, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting plant and operational requirements. This role requires strong organization, follow-up, and the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.

Requirements

Ability to work effectively with plant operations and cross-functional teams.
Comfortable making timely sourcing decisions for routine and urgent requests.
Strong communication and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn purchasing and inventory systems.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Previous purchasing, sourcing, inventory, or supply chain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Issue purchase orders and track orders through delivery.
Expedite orders to support urgent operational needs.
Follow up with suppliers on order status, lead times, and delivery dates.
Resolve backorders, delivery issues, shortages, and order discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels for recurring non-stock and frequently purchased items.
Review stockout reports and initiate reorders to help prevent shortages.
Identify slow-moving or excess inventory to help reduce unnecessary carrying costs.
Source products and supplies for routine and one-time purchasing requests.
Obtain and compare supplier pricing, availability, and lead times.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, FSQS, and other departments regarding purchasing needs.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and communicate supply or delivery concerns.
Support additional sourcing and procurement activities as assigned.
