About The Position

Teal Energi is seeking an experienced Sourcing & Contract Manager Consultant to support procurement and commercial activities within a highly regulated offshore renewable energy environment. This position will combine front-end strategic sourcing with hands-on post-award contract management. The selected consultant will take ownership of multiple sourcing events from initial planning and supplier engagement through negotiation, contract execution, administration, and closeout. The ideal candidate will be a delivery-focused procurement professional who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering, Environmental, Technical, and operational stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial Management, Business, Law, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of five years of relevant procurement and contract management experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing strategy and tender development through award and post-award administration.
Experience sourcing complex professional services, consulting services, marine services, surveys, construction-related services, or other technically defined scopes.
Strong commercial negotiation skills.
Experience preparing RFPs, commercial evaluations, negotiation strategies, award recommendations, and contract documentation.
Practical contract administration experience involving amendments, variation orders, extensions, renewals, notices, claims, or commercial issue resolution.
Ability to interpret contractual terms and translate requirements into clear commercial actions and controls.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organization, stakeholder management, and prioritization abilities.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and contract, procurement, document management, or reporting systems.

Nice To Haves

Experience within offshore renewable energy, power generation, marine infrastructure, utilities, oil and gas, construction, or another regulated asset-based industry.
Experience supporting environmental, permitting, compliance, mitigation, marine, or survey- related procurement activities.
Working knowledge of framework agreements, service agreements, construction contracts, and FIDIC or similar contract forms.
Experience working across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering, Technical, Project Management, and Asset Management functions.
Formal certification in procurement, negotiation, contract management, supply chain, or project management.
Experience administering funding agreements or contracts involving public entities, community organizations, or other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Review business requirements, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, market constraints, and regulatory dependencies.
Develop sourcing, contracting, and negotiation strategies in partnership with procurement leadership and business stakeholders.
Prepare and manage procurement schedules aligned with required contract award and supplier mobilization dates.
Conduct supplier market research, capability assessments, and prequalification activities.
Develop requests for proposals, commercial tender documents, pricing schedules, bidder instructions, and evaluation criteria.
Manage bidder communications, commercial clarifications, confidentiality requirements, and tender governance.
Coordinate technical, quality, legal, financial, and commercial bid evaluations.
Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, schedule, liability, payment terms, performance requirements, and change control.
Prepare supplier recommendations and obtain required internal approvals.
Prepare award recommendations summarizing the sourcing process, evaluation results, negotiated position, commercial risks, and recommended supplier.
Coordinate the preparation and finalization of contracts, exhibits, scopes of work, pricing schedules, and milestone plans.
Partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and technical stakeholders throughout the contract review and approval process.
Manage contract execution and supplier award communications.
Complete contract documentation, filing, quality checks, and formal handover activities.
Serve as the procurement and commercial point of contact for assigned agreements.
Administer contracts from execution through completion, closeout, or formal handover.
Prepare, review, and negotiate variation orders, amendments, extensions, renewals, and other contract changes.
Monitor supplier obligations, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, performance, warranties, and commercial risks.
Draft contractual notices and other commercial correspondence in coordination with Legal and business stakeholders.
Support payment schedules, invoice requirements, commercial milestones, and payment-related issue resolution.
Manage or support claims, change requests, commercial disputes, and supplier performance concerns.
Lead supplier kickoff meetings, contract reviews, performance meetings, and escalation discussions.
Maintain accurate contract records, change registers, risk logs, decision records, and status reports.
Support final account negotiations, lessons learned, contract closeout, and handover documentation.
Support sourcing and contract management for environmental consulting, monitoring, surveys, marine services, and other technically defined scopes.
Coordinate procurement activities with environmental, permitting, technical, operations, and asset stakeholders.
Ensure supplier mobilization and deliverables align with applicable approval, compliance, and implementation dates.
Identify long-lead requirements, unclear scope interfaces, approval dependencies, and procurement schedule risks.
Present practical recovery plans when sourcing or contracting activities fall behind schedule.
Exercise professionalism and sound judgment when handling legally, culturally, commercially, or stakeholder-sensitive matters.
Establish clear ownership, decision points, approval paths, and required inputs for each assigned workstream.
Maintain a consolidated sourcing and contract management tracker.
Provide regular progress updates covering upcoming decisions, schedule status, risks, dependencies, and required support.
Escalate material commercial, supplier, governance, or compliance concerns promptly.
Maintain complete and well-organized procurement and contract records.
Prepare clear handover materials to support continuity at the conclusion of the assignment.
