About The Position

Vactor Mfg is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to perform critical activities within site ECN workflows to correctly source new purchased components from approved suppliers. This role involves preparing and distributing RFQs, analyzing quotes, selecting the best total cost suppliers, and setting up new parts in the site ERP systems. The analyst will also participate in the identification, qualification, and development of new production suppliers, attend supplier meetings, and conduct occasional on-site supplier visits with limited overnight travel. The position requires planning, coordinating, and executing project plans for onboarding new suppliers, resourcing parts, and other objectives, often in close cooperation with plant Buyers/Planners. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with ESG Buyers/Planners, Engineering, Accounting, and suppliers is crucial, as is the ability to work effectively in teams and individually. The role requires comfort with taking direction from SBMs while also being self-directed for certain objectives. Participation in supplier problem-solving and a strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, including negotiation of unfavorable terms, are also key responsibilities. Other duties, assignments, and special projects as required will be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field required.
  • 5-7 Years Supply Chain experience preferably in the manufacturing environments.
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and to represent the Company effectively and professionally in dealings with suppliers.
  • Proficient with MS Office Programs and ERP/MRP system experience required.
  • Ability to easily work with people at all levels of the organization, and to establish collaborative relationship with peers.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong analytical, negotiating, follow-through, and accuracy skills are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific experience with JDE/Oracle, Syteline, and Epicore systems preferred.

Responsibilities
