About The Position

Vactor Mfg. is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to perform critical activities within site ECN workflows to correctly source new purchased components from approved suppliers. This role involves preparing and distributing RFQs, analyzing quotes, selecting best total cost suppliers, and setting up new parts in the site ERP systems. The analyst will also participate in the identification, qualification, and development of new production suppliers, and engage in supplier meetings and occasional on-site visits with limited overnight travel. Project plans for onboarding new suppliers or resourcing parts will be coordinated and executed under the direction of the SBMs, often in close cooperation with plant Buyers/Planners. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with ESG Buyers/Planners, Engineering, Accounting, and suppliers is crucial, requiring the ability to work effectively both in teams and individually. The role demands comfort with taking direction from SBMs while also being self-directed for certain objectives. Responsibilities include participating in supplier problem-solving, understanding contract terms and conditions, and negotiating unfavorable terms. Other duties, assignments, and special projects as required will also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field required.
  • 5-7 Years Supply Chain experience preferably in the manufacturing environments
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and to represent the Company effectively and professionally in dealings with suppliers.
  • Proficient with MS Office Programs and ERP/MRP system experience required.
  • Ability to easily work with people at all levels of the organization, and to establish collaborative relationship with peers.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong analytical, negotiating, follow-through, and accuracy skills are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Specific experience with JDE/Oracle, Syteline, and Epicore systems preferred

Responsibilities
