Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; bachelor’s degree within a technical or engineering discipline is preferred; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) + years of business experience is required.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience is required.
  • Significant experience in Source / Procurement / External Manufacturing / P2P within a global, regulated environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in large-scale ERP or digital transformations, preferably SAP S/4HANA‑based.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain value streams and operating model design.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority, influence senior stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
  • Five (5) + years of people management experience

Responsibilities

  • Own the Source value stream for Surgery across the Transcend lifecycle, from global design through deployment, stabilization, and value realization.
  • Act as the primary business decision authority for Source-related scope, priorities, trade-offs, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure alignment between Source processes and upstream/downstream value streams (Plan, Make, Deliver, Quality).
  • Lead and support Solution Confirmation activities for Surgery sites, ensuring adoption of the Global Template unless a clear business gap is validated.
  • Facilitate and/or oversee Source workshops, design reviews, demos, and sign-offs, including: Global design approvals, Testing phases (FIT, SIT, BST, UAT), Data readiness and cutover activities.
  • Drive a “process first” mindset, minimizing customization while safeguarding business continuity.
  • Translate Transcend Source capabilities into measurable business outcomes, including: Supplier collaboration and performance improvements, Inventory and working capital optimization, Standardized sourcing and procurement processes, Increased agility for new business and commercial models.
  • Partner with Finance and Strategy teams to ensure Source-related value is clearly articulated, tracked, and realized.
  • Serve as the lead Source representative to Surgery leadership, Transcend governance forums, and cross-platform teams.
  • Collaborate closely with: Surgery Platform Leaders, Global Process Owners (Source / P2P), Product Owners and Technology partners (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SCC), Business Adoption & Change teams.
  • Influence senior stakeholders in an environment of high complexity, ambiguity, and interdependency.
  • Provide functional direction and prioritization to Source SMEs across regions and sites.
  • Ensure SMEs are effectively onboarded, focused on high-value topics, and engaged beyond solution confirmation through deployment and hypercare phases.
  • Build sustainable Source capability and clarity of ownership post-deployment.
  • Connect: Build trust-based partnerships across functions, regions, and platforms.
  • Shape: Actively shape the future Surgery Source operating model through Transcend.
  • Grow: Develop scalable capabilities, future leaders, and resilient processes that endure beyond program delivery.
