About The Position
Seeking a source inspector to conduct on-site inspections of primers and energetic components to ensure full compliance. This role involves reviewing technical data packages, contractual obligations, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified for energetics/primer inspection
- 10+ years of quality experience in the defense industry
- Experience working in supplier quality or source inspection
- Strong computer skills (email, Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lot acceptance inspection of energetic/primer components
- Verification of conformance to Technical Data Package (TDP)
- Dimensional, visual, and functional inspection per industry and customer specifications
- Witnessing of required tests (as applicable)
- Review of manufacturing records, certifications, and lot history
- Verification of compliance with prime contract requirements
- Documentation of findings and formal release authorization prior to shipment
- Immediate escalation of nonconformances or deviations
- Ammo Data Card Reviews
- Review and audit of supplier processes and procedures
- Comply with all safety and handling requirements
- Daily or per lot reporting required depending on production flow
- Adherence to AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 standards
