About The Position
This position handles the technical production elements of Metro Parks Music Summer Concert Series and assists with general Cultural Arts Division needs as hours allow. The POWER Youth program, previously known as Opportunity NOW, provides career exploration and work experience activities for youth 14 to 24 years old. The name POWER Youth was selected by the peer youth leadership team based on how they view themselves and their future.
Requirements
- Ages 18-24
- Valid driver license
- Able to work nights, weekends
- Capable of working outdoors in all types of weather
- Heavy lifting is involved
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate audio systems for summer concerts
- Mix live music performances
- Perform non-technical tasks that are essential for a successful event
- Troubleshoot audio systems
- Perform load in and out – including loading and securing equipment in a truck
- Miscellaneous tasks assisting within the department
