Requirements

  • 1-2 years
  • Previous welding experience.
  • Post-secondary education or related experience.
  • Technical school.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to weld joints with minimum supervision.
  • Able to work alone.
  • Working written/verbal communication skills (English/French)
  • Repairing defective weld using the needed tools.
  • Team player, ability to adapt to shift work and may be long hours.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Physically fit and are safety conscious.
  • Must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
  • No skin or breathing allergies.
  • Reading blueprints for location, position, and dimension.
  • Organizing and assembling parts.
  • Weld structures and parts together, to ensure leakproof joints.
  • Examine job, weak spots, and defective section so that they can be repaired.
  • Shape and fabricate parts.
  • Clean job, using scrapers, wire brushes and cleaning solvents.
