Sorter - 3rd shift
About The Position
SPIROL is a global manufacturer seeking a Sorter for the 3rd shift in Danielson, Connecticut. The Sorter will be responsible for accurately and timely sorting of SPIROL products, which may involve using sorting machines or hand sorting. This role also includes maintaining and cleaning the sorting area and equipment, ensuring proper line clearance, and identifying all items in the sorting area with correct job numbers and status tags. The Sorter must adhere to preventative maintenance schedules for sorting machines and maintain a clean and orderly work environment according to the established housekeeping plan.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. repetitively
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to multi-task
Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely sorting of SPIROL product, potentially using sorting machines or hand sorting.
- Maintenance and housekeeping of the sorting area.
- Maintenance of sorting machines as per Preventative Maintenance programs.
- Proper line clearance of equipment.
- Ensuring all items in the sorting area are properly identified with job numbers and tags indicating sorted or not sorted.
- Maintaining all sorting equipment according to documented preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ensuring the sorting area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner, following the documented housekeeping plan.
