Sorts incoming merchandise into specified classifications to supplement store productivity and increase sales. Examines merchandise to determine if an item is sellable or non-sellable, discarding non-sellable items before they reach the pricer's table. Debatable items are to be given to the pricer for determination. Sellable items are placed in bins for pricing. The sorter is responsible for meeting timelines and production goals, maintaining a clean and organized work area for safety and efficiency, and ensuring the flow of product in and out of the workstation. Other duties and special assignments may be directed.
