About The Position

The Sorter Packer inspects and grades produce to determine whether it meets acceptable standards for quality, size, and/or color based on customer orders. The role also repacks and labels produce, removes defective items, and stacks finished products on pallets. Employees work 10-hour days from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., four days per week. Workdays and days off are provided at hire.

Requirements

• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Produce experience preferred.
• One year of experience working in a warehouse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade produce for acceptable quality, size, and/or color.
• Repack produce.
• Unload boxes from pallets.
• Separate product by color and size.
• Remove defective product for proper disposal.
• Label products according to customer orders.
• Stack product onto finished pallets as directed.
• Clean the work area and keep it free of water and debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
