About The Position

ITW Shakeproof supplies cold headed & metal stamped fasteners totaling approximately $200M in revenue annually. Manufacturing / warehouse locations include Watertown, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Machesney Park, IL, Broadview, IL, Elgin, IL, and Iron Ridge, WI. We serve major OEMs and their tier suppliers direct and through distribution channels in the industrial market. Sort Machine Operator will operate multiple machines to sort product meeting customer requirements. Ensures product is free of mixtures and defects by performing the following duties:

Requirements

High school education or GED: Manufacturing experience or training a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Forklift Certification Required

Responsibilities

Starts machine and performs daily checks to detect malfunctions of machine. Reports malfunction to supervisor.
Performs daily preventive maintenance and simple setups to ensure good operation of machines.
Perform red rabbits (Camera Verification) after each machine changeover Label finished goods.
Prepares product to ship free of mixtures and product defects
Weigh and check finished goods
Maintains a safe, clean/sanitized and organized work environment always.
Performance to comply with all company Procedures, Policies, Work Instructions, knowledge of internal and external requirements.
Assist in making improvements to the overall business using ITW operating principles.
