About The Position

Performs general ultrasound procedures at a professional and technical level without constant supervision, using industry standards. Ensures that DNV standards and specialty recommendations are met for the Ultrasound department. Understands image transfer and viewing through the P.A.C.S. system and the ordering process through the R.I.S. (Radiology Information System) and EMR system. Has a clear understanding of Ultrasound call requirements. Coordinates care with radiologists or related physicians as needed. Maintains, cleans, and restocks each Ultrasound examination room after procedures, transports patients as needed, and maintains confidentiality of hospital matters, including HIPAA-protected information.
