Sonographer (PRN)
About The Position
US Fertility is hiring a Sonographer for Shady Grove Fertility in Houston (Medical Center), Texas. The position will float to offices in Clear Lake, Spring-Woodlands, Katy, Memorial City, and Beaumont, Texas. The schedule is per diem, Monday through Friday as needed, from 7:15 AM to 12:00 PM. The Sonographer performs detailed examinations of anatomy and pathology, makes necessary measurements and calculations, documents results in electronic medical records, builds rapport with patients, and explains procedures. The role requires following physician protocols and effectively operating equipment used within the job’s scope.
Requirements
- Complete formal ultrasound training at an AMA-approved school and meet ARDMS registry requirements.
- Hold RDMS/RVT credentials.
- Understand and follow physician protocols for procedures.
- Effectively operate all equipment used within the scope of the job.
- Have a minimum of two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist in women’s health.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with fertility patients is strongly preferred.
