About The Position

Produces quality diagnostic ultrasound images using proper equipment techniques and technical factors. Performs all ultrasound procedures according to department policies. Follows prescribed hospital safety standards and practices sterile techniques to prevent contamination. Positions and transfers patients for exams. Maintains adequate records per department and hospital policies. Assists physicians in performing invasive procedures, ensuring proper lab work and specimen delivery. Incorporates patient, physician, and customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational actions. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the Ultrasound Department and secures and restocks supplies as necessary. Attends a minimum of 50% of scheduled department meetings and obtains information from missed meetings. Follows AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank) at all times. Maintains ethical, professional relationships and follow the “Standard of Behavior” guidelines per hospital policy. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate's Degree OR Technical/Vocational School is Required
1+ of position-related experience [Required]
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required]
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
