About The Position
As an Echo Tech, you will assist ProMedica physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of illness and injuries by performing diagnostic ultrasounds. You will inform patients about their procedure and ensure they – and their loved ones – understand and feel comfortable about their procedure. You will play a key role in providing clinical excellence to ProMedica patients.
Requirements
- Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or have the equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Must be registered as a diagnostic sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and must maintain active registry status.
- If not registered, must become registered within one year.
- CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasounds to assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment.
- Inform patients about their procedures and ensure they understand and feel comfortable.
- Provide clinical excellence to ProMedica patients.
