About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, is seeking an MFM Sonographer to work every other Monday, with additional shifts as needed. Some travel between sites is expected. The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound, physiologic, and duplex studies on patients of all ages according to approved protocols, ultrasound exposure and safety standards, and established exam indicators, including spectral analysis and color Doppler displays. The role also schedules patients, obtains patient histories, evaluates whether requested exams are appropriate, and assists with procedures. Saint Alphonsus is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving communities in Idaho, Oregon, and northern Nevada. The system includes four hospitals, 609 licensed beds, and 73 clinic locations. It emphasizes patient-centered, physician-led, innovative, and community-based care.

Requirements

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography with OB/GYN.
Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification required within one year of hire.
Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Bachelor’s degree in science or an Allied Health field.
