About The Position

The Sonographer for our MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) clinic performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed. The role involves performing nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines, completing fetal surveys, and performing hysterosonograms, as well as 3D-4D scans. The Sonographer will also assist with IUD checks, amniocentesis, and other related procedures. A key part of the role is evaluating the quality and interpreting the captured images. The position requires documenting and updating patient information in the electronic medical record, representing the clinic professionally, and treating all customers courteously and cooperatively. The Sonographer is expected to attend required meetings, participate in team activities and professional development, and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values, while complying with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent MFM experience.
Experience with 3D-4D scans.
Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
