About The Position

MU Health Care is looking for a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. This position rotates across multiple clinics performing gynecological ultrasounds, early obstetrical ultrasounds, high-risk OB ultrasounds, and Fetal Echocardiography. The ideal candidate values patient care and satisfaction, collaborates with the management team, and provides guidance to residents, fellows, students, and staff. The role requires using AIDET principles with patients, maintaining confidentiality, and keeping certifications current. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Requirements

  • Registry eligible
  • Sonography-related certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within two (2) years as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with providing instruction to residents, fellows, students or other staff regarding ultrasonography equipment and procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner
  • Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times and complete required quality control checks routinely
  • Assist the Medical Physicist in performing additional quality assurance testing as needed
  • Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You)
  • Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents
