About The Position

Husk Restaurant, a nationally acclaimed establishment in Nashville, TN, specializing in Modern Southern Cuisine since 2013, is seeking a hospitality-driven Sommelier. As part of The Neighborhood Dining Group, we are dedicated to redefining leadership with purpose in the culinary world. Husk is located in the heart of downtown Nashville and celebrates the Southern table through its onsite garden and strong relationships with local farmers, transforming heritage ingredients into dishes that are both traditional and modern. We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to oversee our wine program and enhance the guest experience, joining a nationally recognized restaurant group that values innovation, mentorship, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Wine management experience in a high-end, full-service restaurant
  • Certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers (Level 2+) or WSET Level 3
  • Deep knowledge of international wine regions, varietals, and vintages
  • Warm, engaging, and guest-focused hospitality style
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development
  • Passion for wine, ongoing learning, and delivering world-class service
  • Well-versed in financials, inventory oversight, and team scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Lead the wine and beverage program with expertise, enthusiasm, and vision
  • Curate and maintain a global wine list that complements the menu and enhances the guest experience
  • Provide tableside wine service and offer pairing recommendations
  • Educate and train staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and food pairing principles
  • Monitor wine inventory and vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and product quality
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to execute seasonal pairings and special events
  • Maintain a strong leadership presence by working a full rotation of opening, mid, and closing shifts.
