About The Position

Agilent is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to operate at the enterprise level within the Systems Solutions Center of Excellence. This role combines hands-on systems engineering with cross-business enablement, acting as a technical integrator, enterprise reviewer, and catalyst for innovation across Agilent product lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, product development, architecture, automation, or related engineering disciplines within complex technical environments.
• Proven experience applying systems engineering principles across the product lifecycle, including requirements management, architecture development, verification, and validation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional engineering initiatives across hardware, software, and integrated systems.
• Experience participating in architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical governance activities across multiple product lines.
• Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities for reuse, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across engineering organizations.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with digital engineering, AI-enabled development practices, MBSE, and product lifecycle management tools is preferred.
• Experience driving enterprise-wide engineering transformation, platform strategies, or process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to acceleration of the Product Lifecycle (PLC) by applying and reinforcing enterprise systems engineering best practices across business units.
• Partner with engineering teams and leaders within each business unit to understand product strategies, development challenges, and execution bottlenecks.
• Support adoption of standardized lifecycle frameworks, requirements practices, and V&V approaches while preserving necessary product-specific flexibility.
• Act as an enterprise systems engineer, participating in architectural reviews and design decisions across product lines.
• Support modular architecture adoption through requirements reuse, interface definition, and verification evidence leverage.
• Assist in analyzing existing architectures and modules to identify reuse, simplification, or redesign opportunities that improve quality, reduce cost, and ease design transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineering and digital teams to pilot AI-enabled process improvements across product development (e.g., requirements reuse, V&V evidence mining, design insights).
• Help ignite innovation by sharing best practices, emerging technologies, and systems thinking across engineering communities.
