About The Position

Attio is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead and scale its Solutions Engineering team. This role is crucial for driving value for prospects and customers by tailoring the Attio platform to their specific go-to-market (GTM) motions, thereby improving close rates, adoption, and retention. The manager will be responsible for growing a team of SMB and Mid-Market Solutions Engineers who handle both pre-sales technical evaluations (discovery, custom demos, architecture design, proof-of-concept programs) and post-sale onboarding (data model design, data migration, GTM stack integration, workspace configuration, and end-user training). The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented leader and proactive mentor who can bring scale, efficiency, and consistency to a growing global organization.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience as an individual-contributor Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Consultant at a B2B SaaS company.
• Experience with both pre-sales and post-sale/onboarding work.
• 2+ years directly managing a team of Solutions or Sales Engineers.
• A track record of building process and enablement for a growing team.
• Experience innovating as product and GTM motions evolve.
• Strong technical and data fluency across traditional no- and low-code SaaS ecosystems, including data model design, APIs, and integrations.
• Ability to coach SEs on technical concepts.
• Passionate technologist, builder, and learner, especially in AI.
• Clear experience working cross-functionally on strategic projects.
• Comfort operating in both a pre-sales, deal-critical environment and a post-sale, customer-success-adjacent one.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CRM or broader GTM tooling is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and manage a team of SMB and Mid-Market Solutions Engineers.
• Set the standard for technical evaluations and onboarding at Attio.
• Act as a true partner to Account Executives (AEs) throughout the deal cycle, including joint discovery, evaluation planning, and deal strategy, with Solutions Engineers (SEs) owning the product evaluation.
• Partner with AE Managers on joint pipeline ownership and serve as an executive sponsor on large deals.
• Own the quality and consistency of the onboarding framework, scaling it for a growing team and maturing it for enterprise clients.
• Champion enablement and programs for the team, including demo environments, POC and onboarding frameworks, playbooks, AI tooling and automation, and training materials.
• Represent customer and prospect feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Drive value for prospects and customers by tailoring the Attio platform to their unique GTM motions.
• Improve close rates, adoption, and retention.
