About The Position

This internship provides hands-on experience with the tools and mindsets used in modern digital engineering. You’ll gain visibility into real-world systems integration challenges and learn from a team committed to mentoring and innovation. As an Intern Solutions Engineer at Tenet3, you’ll gain hands-on experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Python scripting, and digital modeling. You’ll work with a cross-disciplinary team to support the development of system models, technical documentation, and integration workflows for complex systems in aerospace and defense. This internship is ideal for students interested in digital engineering and automation, and who are eager to apply classroom learning to impactful, real-world challenges. You’ll receive one-on-one mentorship, exposure to industry tools, and a front-row seat to the future of digital acquisition.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a bachelor's program in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related STEM field.
• Minimum 3.5 GPA
• Basic familiarity with Python (coursework, personal projects, or research).
• Interest in learning MBSE tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to ask good questions, write clean documentation, and collaborate across teams.
• Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn digital engineering workflows in a real-world context.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system modeling using MBSE tools and templates
• Draft and maintain internal documentation and diagrams
• Learn and apply Python to automate basic modeling or data tasks
• Participate in team standups and receive mentorship from senior engineers
• Assist with creating and maintaining system models using MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Learn and apply Python to automate repetitive tasks, validate models, or support early data analysis.
• Contribute to internal diagrams, model annotations, and structured technical documentation.
• Participate in agile ceremonies like standups, demos, and retrospectives; ask thoughtful questions and seek feedback.
• Learn how models and data are tracked and structured using tools like GitLab.
