About The Position

Tenet3 is seeking an early-career Solutions Engineer with a background in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering to serve as a technical advocate supporting a client’s model-based systems engineering (MBSE) initiatives at Arnold Air Force Base. The role involves collaborating with engineers on solution design, maintaining model traceability, and contributing to cross-functional collaboration. The engineer will develop technical modeling, documentation, and systems integration skills while helping deliver engineering outcomes. The position bridges abstract requirements and executable designs to help ensure mission-critical initiatives are traceable, scalable, and robust. The role is onsite with the client at Arnold Air Force Base. Tenet3 is a digital knowledge management company based in Dayton, Ohio, working in cybersecurity, system trustworthiness, and software and hardware assurance. Its software products use machine learning and property graph representations, including its MeTRA platform, to build digital knowledge graphs for systems assurance, cybersecurity, and engineering change analysis.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Intermediate Python skills for task automation, data analysis, and script development for model validation, using libraries and frameworks relevant to MBSE.
  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering tools, such as Cameo or SysML modeling, and version control systems such as GitLab or GitHub.
  • 0–3 years of experience in systems engineering, modeling, or technical problem-solving, with a basic understanding of trade study or comparative analysis techniques.
  • Effective technical writing, diagram creation, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly communicate assumptions, constraints, and design decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to receive and act on feedback, desire for growth and learning, and comfort with team standups, demos, and reviews.
  • Ability to view problems holistically and understand how individual components affect total system performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo and SysML modeling, and version control tools such as GitLab or GitHub.

Responsibilities

  • Execute basic system modeling tasks using MeTRA and internal modeling standards.
  • Maintain version control and traceability for modeling artifacts.
  • Assist with component-level solution design and basic integration tasks.
  • Draft technical documentation that captures assumptions, constraints, and design decisions.
  • Participate in design sessions, demos, and retrospectives to support team alignment and feedback.
  • Collaborate with the client onsite at Arnold Air Force Base to support effective use of MeTRA.
  • Use Python to automate repetitive modeling tasks, perform data analysis, develop scripts for model validation, and improve efficiency in MBSE workflows.

Benefits

  • Generous paid time off, including PTO, sick days, and floating holidays.
  • 100% paid medical, vision, and dental insurance for the employee and family.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Reimbursement for higher education, conferences, and self-study programs.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance, along with life insurance.
  • Flexible work hours.
