Solutions Engineer

Mews
$100,000 - $140,000Hybrid

About The Position

The hospitality industry is uniquely human, and it deserves technology that’s just as inspiring as the people behind it. At Mews, we’re transforming the industry with a platform that helps hotels run smarter, move faster and create better guest experiences. You’ll work with smart, curious people who care deeply about what they do. You’ll have autonomy and the trust to make good decisions and move quickly. And you’ll enjoy a real sense of purpose as you see the impact of what we’re building. If you’re motivated by ownership, curiosity and meaningful impact, and are driven to deliver consistent high performance, you’ll feel at home here. About the role Let's get into the specifics. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this: You'll own the technical dimension of the sales motion across North America, working alongside commercial teams to help hotel operators see exactly how Mews fits within their technology environment. Most hospitality technology conversations stall when integration complexity, payment infrastructure questions, or API capabilities need a credible answer. This role exists to close that gap, and in a market where Mews is expanding rapidly and intentionally, the right technical voice in a deal changes outcomes. As a Solutions Architect within our GTM teams, you'll be embedded in the Mid-Market and SMB sales processes. You'll help sales and customer-facing teams sharpen discovery and position the right solution, and you'll help customers see how Mews fits into their broader hospitality stack, including PMS workflows and payments. You'll work closely with your team of solutions architects and support around 15 salespeople across North America. Hotel operators evaluating a platform change are making significant choices with real operational and financial weight. They need someone who can walk them through integration architectures, explain how payments work within Mews, and map out how the platform fits within their broader hospitality tech stack without losing the room.

Requirements

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in a solutions architect, technical account manager, sales engineering, or similarly technical customer-facing role in SaaS companies where you have supported commercial teams
  • A hospitality or hotel-technology background: you can navigate how properties operate, what PMS workflows look like, and what technology choices mean for a hotel's day-to-day
  • Confidence presenting and explaining technical concepts to mixed audiences, from an IT manager to a hotel GM
  • Commercial awareness and comfort in a selling environment: you grasp what's at stake in a deal and you operate accordingly
  • You've gone beyond personal productivity in your use of AI: you've redesigned how you or your team works, built approaches others can follow, and you actively question and check what the AI gives you rather than accepting it at face value
  • AI Fluency Level 3 Required: For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to "AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates" on Confluence.

  • Serve as a consultative resource across the customer lifecycle, bridging pre-sales positioning and post-sales needs
  • Help customers assess how Mews fits within their existing hospitality technology environment, including PMS workflows and property-level infrastructure
  • Train and develop technical accumen for sales teammates by sharing your expertise
