About The Position

We are seeking a highly technical, mission-oriented Embedded Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical point of contact onsite within a key U.S. Public Sector agency in Dayton, OH. Unlike a traditional sales role, you will be an embedded resource, working side-by-side with U.S. Public Sector personnel and contractors on-base to drive the adoption, integration, and scaling of Arango’s AI Data Platform. You will act as a "Forward Deployed Engineer," technical instructor, and internal champion—identifying new mission sets where Arango can solve complex data problems and ensuring the agency realizes the full value of our technology.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI is mandatory.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep experience with Python, SQL, and the AI/ML ecosystem (Vector DBs, LLMs, LangChain). Knowledge of Graph Databases is a significant plus.
  • On-Base Experience: Prior experience working as an embedded contractor or military member within a U.S. Public Sector agency (e.g., NASIC, AFRL, or AFLCMC).
  • Instructor Capabilities: Proven ability to teach complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Comfortable working with Kubernetes, Linux, and Docker in secure, high-side environments.
  • The "Self-Starter" Mindset: A self-starter who can work autonomously onsite, build high-trust relationships with GS-civilians and active-duty leadership, and navigate the nuances of base operations.

Nice To Haves

  • CI or FS Polygraph preferred
  • Knowledge of Graph Databases is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Embedded Technical Execution: Work onsite at agency facilities and military bases (WPAFB) to provide architectural guidance, troubleshooting, and hands-on integration support for active mission projects.
  • Drive Agency Adoption: Proactively identify new use cases, projects, and departments within the agency where Arango can solve data silos or AI bottlenecks; manage these internal "onboarding" projects from inception to deployment.
  • Training & Mentorship: Develop and deliver technical training sessions, workshops, and "brown bag" lunches for U.S. Public Sector engineers, data scientists, and analysts to build a self-sustaining community of Arango practitioners.
  • Mission-Centric Demos: Build and maintain functional prototypes (RAG systems, graph visualizations) that address specific agency requirements, often within classified or air-gapped environments.
  • Project Management: Act as the technical project manager for Arango’s footprint within the agency, ensuring all technical hurdles to adoption are cleared and coordinating with Arango’s core engineering team for specialized support.
  • Feedback Loop: Serve as the "Voice of the Mission," providing direct feedback to Arango Product Management regarding unique U.S. Public Sector requirements, security controls, and feature requests.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Uncapped variable earnings based on adoption milestones
  • Comprehensive benefits
  • Flexibility needed for those currently in the Reserves or National Guard.
