About The Position

Airspace is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its R&D team. This role is responsible for translating complex customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) into precise, custom workflows within Airspace's core platform. The Solutions Engineer will also configure mobile workflows for drivers in the field, ensuring all customer-specified actions are performed correctly. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on transforming ambiguity and complexity into exact, functional processes.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in solutions engineering, implementation, systems configuration, business analysis, or a comparable role.
• Proven background in parsing complicated SOPs into actionable process flow diagrams or structured workflows.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Experience governing processes that encourage adoption without proliferation.
• Comfort working with structured data and configuration logic (e.g., JSON, rules engines, conditional/branching logic).
• Strong communication and requirements-gathering skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with process-mapping tools (e.g., BPMN, Lucidchart, Visio).
• Logistics, supply chain, or operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with onboarding, operations, account management, and product teams to gather requirements, clarify customer SOPs, and validate configured workflows.
• Translate detailed customer SOPs into accurate, custom workflows within Airspace's core platform, building and maintaining JSON-defined workflow diagrams.
• Configure mobile workflows for drivers, ensuring all required steps (captures, scans, confirmations, exception handling) are presented correctly and in sequence.
• Rigorously test and validate workflows before deployment, and iterate based on changing customer requirements.
• Identify common patterns across customers and verticals to design reusable workflow components and templates.
• Help shape tooling, standards, and best practices for workflow configuration.
• Own metrics that prove workflow effectiveness, tracking adherence, automation rates, and service-level performance.
• Continuously identify areas for refinement based on performance signals.
