The Solutions Consulting organization is a unique team of self-starters passionate about their mission, redefining the Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering profession. Appian Solution Consulting focuses on the 'Why' behind mission-critical solutions driving customer success. Through creative persona-based storytelling, technical solutioning, and business consulting, Appian's Solution Consultants are instrumental in helping customers understand the business value of Appian's technology during and after the sales cycle. They serve as trusted advisors to customers, partners, sales, product, marketing, and company leadership.
Requirements
- Deep and recent expertise in the Financial Services (FS) Industry domain.
- Ability to speak the language of FS executives and understand their core business challenges.
- Experience working in an enterprise software sales position OR a client-facing technology advisory role within a Financial Services institution or ISV (e.g., in transformation, architecture, or strategy).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with customer interaction, requirements analysis, and presentations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years as a successful Pre-Sales Engineer OR 6+ years in a Professional Services/Consulting role, with a significant focus (3+ years) in the Financial Services Industry.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex Financial Services (FS) business challenges (e.g., regulatory compliance, risk management, customer onboarding, loan origination, tokenization) into high-impact Appian solutions.
- Respond to all functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs with technical depth.
- Strategically problem-solve by thinking outside of the box to create innovative solutions that address complex FS challenges.
- Identify how Appian can fit into the bigger organizational picture with technical expertise.
- Engage in technical discussions with Appian's product team.
- Utilize familiarity with production environments (application servers, web servers, databases).
