About The Position

Under the direction of the Solutions Architecture Director, this role is responsible for providing and applying strategic direction to solution and deployment of MSP programs. This highly analytical role is most similar to the role commonly referred to as a “Business Analyst.” The person in this role is responsible for working with the client, the VMS provider, and all functional area SMEs to understand the process as it currently works, to conduct and define the requirements for the future-state of the solution, and to document and design the solution that meets those requirements. The main goal of the Solutions Architect is to drive successful implementations of the solution through partnership with the Project Manager, the VMS Configuration Specialist, and the VMS tool provider.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the staffing or IT project services sector, with customer service experience desired.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the TAPFIN Quality Management System (QMS) Policy, with an in-depth knowledge of documents and procedures as it relates to their job tasks and the processes for non-conformity based on TAPFIN QMS standards.
  • Strong VMS expertise. VNDLY strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Office skills must include: Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in business or related field, and a minimum of seven years of experience in the staffing or IT project services sector.
  • Ideally, an expert in all relevant technical areas including application, infrastructure, data, etc. and must have the ability to provide leadership in these areas.
  • Vertical industry experience with large system integrators and managed service providers.
  • Must have strong oral presentation, negotiation, and written communications skills, outstanding time management skills, skilled in consulting and establishing credibility / trust with clients, ability to handle multiple priorities, able to adapt to change, analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to handle clients effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of a solution that meets business parameters of cost, timeline, scope, and benefits for TAPFIN and the client.
  • Assist in VMS selection, where required, by leveraging system selection tools, demo scripts, and scorecards, tailored to and in conjunction with client requirements.
  • Assist in the development of a client specific transition strategy, including communication plans and change management approaches specific to the client requirements.
  • Leverage best practices and in-depth MSP solution knowledge to deliver opportunities to streamline, automate, and alleviate administrative burdens from program operations.
  • Develop Blueprints and design elements, based on client operational and technical requirements, improvement opportunities discovered, and best practice solutions.
  • Responsible for the development of Service Level Agreements relative to the program office, the supplier community and, where required, the tool provider.
  • Responsible for the development of a client specific reporting package, data management, and delivery schedule.
  • Assist in data gathering in conjunction with identified client subject matter experts and in delivering data via specific data templates to the VMS Systems team for load.
  • Assist in all optimization processes, including but not limited to cost savings initiatives, vendor rationalization, and rate card creation.
  • Assist in monitoring the progress of, and providing performance / progress reports on, those MSP programs still in deployment phases. This includes status reporting to the clients, MSP group management, TAPFIN senior management, etc.;
  • Assist in providing appropriate training to other TAPFIN team members including the program office and solutions delivery support, as well as vendors, clients, and other staff with regard to the MSP processes, procedures, reporting, etc.
  • Coordinate with the TAPFIN VMS Systems Engineer to ensure the smooth transition from design to configuration based on design package and client sign off. As part of this role, the individual will be responsible for ensuring that all documented business rules and agreed upon business processes, where possible, are configured within the VMS and are supported by the operations process, and are presented effectively. Where such processes do not exist, will ensure that the program is following business processes that are in the best interest of TAPFIN, the client, and the suppliers; and are managed effectively.
  • Assists with a demonstration of VMS configuration and presentation of design.
  • Assists with testing the configuration to ensure the design has been captured.
  • Assists with acceptance testing, as a demonstration that the configured system meets client expectations and is ready for launch.
