About The Position

The Solutions Architect (SA) will drive technical strategy and pre-sales solution development for DoD customers. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor to Navy stakeholders, Federal Systems Integrators, and OEM partners. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cyber security, and data center modernization, with the ability to translate mission requirements into scalable, compliant, and secure architectures. The Solutions Architect plays a key role in shaping technical strategy, responding to RFPs/RFQs, and developing compliant, competitive solutions aligned to Navy and DoD acquisition frameworks.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Systems Architecture and Engineering or technical role in projects and programs for Government or Industry customers.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Navy or other DoD programs
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Government procurement processes
  • Experience architecting solutions in: Enterprise servers and storage, Hypervisors (VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V), Windows Server and Linux environments, TCP/IP networking and switching infrastructure, Backup, archiving, and business continuity solutions, Cybersecurity controls and compliance frameworks
  • Experience using vendor configuration tools and creating formal technical documentation
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills
  • Active Secret clearance preferred; must be eligible to obtain and maintain required clearance
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Strong time management and sound judgment; receptive to feedback and adaptable

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery sessions to gather mission, operational, and compliance requirements
  • Architect secure enterprise solutions across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cyber security domains
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), architecture diagrams, and rack elevations (Visio or equivalent)
  • Support and lead technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for Navy programs
  • Present solutions to Navy customers, integrators, and executive stakeholders
  • Partner closely with OEM technical teams and distribution engineering resources
  • Ensure solutions align with DoD cybersecurity requirements (RMF, STIGs, NIST 800-53, etc.)
  • Maintain relevant OEM certifications and technical specializations
  • Support account strategy development with Sales leadership
  • Identify modernization opportunities within existing Navy environments
  • Other duties as assigned.
