About The Position

This Pre-Sales Solutions Architect role is for an individual who thrives at the intersection of deep technical expertise and client-facing impact, shaping the future of AWS projects while driving presales success. The role involves designing enterprise-grade architectures, leading high-stakes client discussions, and guiding migrations and data strategies to unlock the full potential of the cloud. The architect will partner closely with sales and engineering teams to craft solutions and influence outcomes, turning opportunities into long-term client value. The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect is a senior technical resource, fulfilling a coordination and leadership role in the development of AWS projects, with a particular emphasis on presales activities. This position requires extensive technical knowledge and experience in multiple AWS technology areas and integration, coupled with strong planning and analytical skills. Responsibilities include data architecture and design, as well as the development of data and metadata models. The Senior Solutions Architect also plays a pivotal role in presales engagements, educating customers on the value proposition of AWS and participating in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud. Additionally, they work as part of cross-functional teams dealing with the full spectrum of information management technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Five plus years of related responsible experience in large corporate systems environments working with large and complex systems.
  • Must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience working with AWS.
  • Must be certified AWS Solution Architect.
  • Experience writing SOW’s for MAP, ML/AI, Data Science, Data Engineering focused projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in presales scenarios.
  • Patience and strong customer service skills, crucial in presales engagements.
  • Leadership abilities, especially in guiding presales discussions and strategies.
  • Multi-tasking ability, with a focus on managing various presales initiatives simultaneously.
  • Time Management skills, essential in balancing presales commitments.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technical concepts in presales interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a project scope that directly supports the key business drivers.
  • Define the overall architecture, including presales considerations.
  • Define technical requirements, technical and data architectures, with a focus on presales solutions.
  • Design and direct the migration process, including data engineering, incorporating presales insights.
  • Create SOW’s and work with sales team to get deal to the finish line
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support, especially in presales contexts.
