About The Position

OLH Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect 4 to serve as the client-side senior authority for SAP data migration on a greenfield S/4HANA program. The role provides independent technical oversight of the System Integrator’s migration approach, advises on architecture and tooling decisions, and coordinates the client-side data workstream across domains. The assignment is for one year, with two one-year renewal options. One position is available, and the work location is remote within the United States. U.S. citizenship is required. The position covers migration from non-SAP sources, including Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and custom systems, into SAP S/4HANA. The Solutions Architect coordinates data cleansing, quality assurance, mock load cycles, reconciliation, governance, compliance, cutover readiness, and post-go-live data support. The role also supports program reporting and risk, action, issue, and decision tracking, and provides independent data-readiness and risk assessments to program leadership.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree and 20+ years leading enterprise SAP data migration workstreams.
  • At least four full-lifecycle S/4HANA programs delivered end-to-end; greenfield experience preferred.
  • Experience running a data workstream within a major System Integrator on programs of significant scale and complexity, followed by client-side advisory work.
  • Deep hands-on experience migrating data from non-SAP sources into SAP.
  • Full-scope enterprise migration experience across Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain (MM, SD, PP, WM), HR/HCM, Plant Maintenance/EAM, and Master Data, including business partner, material, customer, and vendor data.
  • Working expertise across multiple migration toolsets.
  • Demonstrated focus on delivery quality and ability to engage System Integrator leadership as a peer, assess constraints, and make sound escalation decisions.
  • Ability to act as a hands-on advisor by leading working sessions, following up on actions, maintaining plans day to day, and applying senior-level judgment.
  • Deep understanding of S/4HANA data models, the business partner concept, universal journal, material ledger, and structural changes from legacy ERPs.
  • Strong grounding in data migration methodology, including ETL design, staging strategies, reconciliation, cutover sequencing, fallback planning, and hyper care data support.
  • Regulated-industry experience with hands-on exposure to at least one of HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, FedRAMP, or a comparable framework.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into data migration controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication with executives and technical data engineers.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience using Oracle EBS as a source system.
  • Familiarity with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and its role in S/4HANA data landscapes.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms as staging or reconciliation environments for large-scale migrations.
  • SAP certifications in S/4HANA, data migration, or comparable areas.
  • Experience in regulated environments beyond baseline compliance, such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, pharma, or government.
  • Greenfield S/4HANA program experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the client-side senior authority on SAP data migration and engage the System Integrator’s data lead as a technical peer.
  • Review and challenge the System Integrator’s data migration approach, identifying unnecessary risks, costs, or downstream operational burdens.
  • Advise on migration architecture for greenfield S/4HANA implementations from non-SAP sources, including source-to-target data model translation and legacy-to-SAP concept mapping.
  • Advise on migration tooling selection and evaluate tool fit, cost, timeline, and auditability.
  • Coordinate day-to-day execution of the client-side data workstream across all domains; maintain the migration task plan, identify slippage, and drive resolution.
  • Serve as the daily point of contact with the System Integrator’s data migration team, track deliverables, and escalate delays.
  • Run working sessions with client data owners and the integrator’s team, and follow up on actions, decisions, and deliverables.
  • Set and monitor data-cleansing standards against agreed quality thresholds and validate the suitability of the integrator’s quality criteria for S/4HANA go-live.
  • Coordinate data cleansing with business data owners, resolve blockers, and surface data-quality risks such as missing legacy concepts, transformation data loss, and cross-domain dependencies.
  • Organize and track mock load cycles across domains; independently review reconciliation results.
  • Ensure business teams complete validation tasks within cycle windows and that findings are actioned.
  • Ensure migration activities comply with the organization’s data classification policy and applicable regulatory requirements throughout extraction, staging, transformation, and load.
  • Maintain the data migration cutover plan and coordinate extraction and load scheduling with the System Integrator and technical teams.
  • Prepare data-readiness inputs for go/no-go decisions and provide independent risk assessments to program leadership.
  • Support hyper care for data-related issues after go-live.
  • Support migration status reporting and RAID logging for program leadership.
